Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions

Is MBBS abroad a valid qualification for practicing medicine in India?
Yes — provided the university is recognized by India’s National Medical Commission (NMC). After graduating from an NMC-recognized university, students must clear the NExT (Next Steps in Medicine) examination to obtain their Indian medical license. GGE only facilitates admissions to NMC-recognized institutions.
Yes. As per NMC regulations (effective 2018), Indian students must qualify NEET to be eligible for MBBS at foreign medical universities and to sit the NExT licensing examination upon return. There is no exemption.
Most NMC-recognized universities abroad accept students who have cleared NEET — i.e., scored above the qualifying cutoff. Some universities have additional requirements. GGE maps your NEET score to suitable universities during your profile assessment.
Most programs are 6 years in duration (including internship). Some countries structure it as 5 years + 1 year internship. Your counsellor will provide country-specific timelines.
Quality varies significantly between institutions — even within the same country. GGE shortlists only universities with strong clinical training infrastructure, acceptable FMGE/NExT pass rates among Indian graduates, and stable NMC recognition status. We do not recommend universities based on fee margins.

Cost & Finance Questions

How much does MBBS abroad cost in total?
The total 6-year cost (tuition + accommodation + living + travel) typically ranges from INR 25–50 lakhs depending on the country and university. GGE provides a full, itemized 6-year cost estimate for every shortlisted university during counselling.
Some partner universities offer partial scholarships or tuition reductions for high-achieving students. GGE actively identifies and communicates these opportunities to eligible students. Full scholarships covering all costs are rare.
Yes. Most nationalized banks in India provide education loans for MBBS programs at NMC-recognized foreign universities. GGE can provide documentation support for loan applications.
No. GGE discloses its complete consultancy fee structure during the first counselling session. All costs — university fees, visa charges, documentation costs — are shared transparently before any commitment is made.

Yes. From your first session to graduation, you are assigned a named GGE counsellor who manages your file and is your primary point of contact. You will not be bounced between team members.
GGE’s 6-year support system covers precisely these situations. Students can reach our team 24×7. For on-ground issues, our local representatives coordinate resolution. We treat post-admission support as part of our core responsibility, not a separate service.
